Minimal
Nothing extraneous.
Mark Two was designed to be minimal and beautiful. There are no logos or excess ornamentation, and the seam on the body (to unscrew and replace the refill) is nearly completely hidden by a post-polishing process. The black cerakote sleeve has a slightly textured, matte finish, and the body is polished and smooth.

Pocketable
Take it with you.
Mark Two is quite short when sleeved, making it an ideal pen to carry in your pocket or purse. However, the magic happens when you post the sleeve on the body. Due to a clever bit of engineering, the pen elongates to a full length when posted. And when you are ready to cap it again, the body slides into the sleeve with a satisfying magnetic closure.

Durable
Made to last a lifetime.
If you’re going to be carrying a pen around every day, it needs to be durable. Mark Two is made entirely out of stainless steel. The outer sleeve is coated with Cerakote, a robust ceramic-polymer coating that wears beautifully. This pen should last a lifetime.

Refill
A mini version of the beloved Schmidt.
We were delighted to discover Schmidt makes a mini version of their amazing P8126 rollerball refill, identical in every way except the length. Perfect for a pocket pen. The Schmidt P8126 mini is what ships with Mark Two, but our pen will also work with a D1 refill and our custom D1 Adaptor.

With or without a clip
Whatever suits you best.
We know tons of folks want a clip on their everyday carry pen, which is why we included one in the original design for Mark Two. However, in this new revision, we are now offering an option with no clip. If you prefer the clean, almost bullet-like appearance, clip-less is a great option.

Frequently Asked Questions

Smooth and compact. Great for travel!
Being impressed with my first Mark II (black & stainless w/clip), I couldn’t resist getting the Special Edition 015 (all stainless w/o clip) pen as my second Studio Neat pen. Simple and minimalist with a splash of elegance. Beautiful design and excellent execution! Great for discrete pocket carry in lieu of a traditional pen clipped to my shirt. The S|N walnut pen trays are fantastic as well - beautiful finish on quality wood! Looking forward to more great stuff from Tom and Dan!
I insta bought the original Mark II when they originally released it. I have multiple Mark I’s. I lost my Mark II while working and it was pretty sad. I spent a few days hunting for it. So I had to reorder it. Having a quality pocket pen is more useful than you think! Every time I assemble it and hand it to someone when they need to sign a doc, they 6 times out of 10 comment on what a nice pen it is. And usually they want me to demo how it comes apart and goes back together. I get to show off the magnets and the high quality craftsmanship put into this pen. I’m in real estate and handing a quality pen to every client or peer is yet another way to stand out and Tom and Dan have given me an amazing way to show I pay attention to quality at every turn.
I smile and giggle a little every time I return the pen to its sleeve and feel the magnetic connection. It writes very well, feels great in the hand, and has a nice weight. I’m stopping myself from buying more in other colors — oops, too late since I got the limited edition.
I purposely purchased the Mark Two for that purpose. I am concerning purchasing your model??, for more regular writing. It’s a finely designed writing instrument.
